Dogpaw didn't have a chance to agree - Zephyrwhisper was already off. Ears pricked, he trotted after the warrior, tail streaming out behind him like a banner.
The tabby tom was tempted to ask more, although he felt that Zephyrwhisper would snap or get annoyed. Instead, he decided to change the topic. "Well, do you wanna do something? Even though there's not many cats around right now, we could still do something productive."
Round eyes glittering, the sleek Shadeclan leader slipped out from among the tangle of roots at the base of the Shade Tree, springing up onto a low-hanging branch so she could see the entire camp.
"Cats of Shadeclan, gather around for a meeting!" Northernstar yowled, her voice echoing throughout the large clearing.
At first, Dawnpaw had been watching the training, doing the crouches by herself and listening quietly when Amazonstar spoke. But now that the panther had appeared and she could do something fun, the large dog crouched low and crept forward, preparing to charge and attempt to stun the panther. But when the apprentice noticed the form of Deceivinglooks underneath one of its massive paws, she let out a volley of barks to distract it and make it loosen its grip on the deputy.
The tri-colored apprentice listened intently as her leader spoke, ears perked up to catch every word. A swanguard? That sounded interesting. Dawnpaw's tail slowly began to wag back and forth, as it did when the Bernese mountain dog was interested or excited about something. At the mention of Deerclan, her large brown eyes darkened. Being the curious animal she was, now she was dying to see what was going on in the suspicious clan.
Eyes bright, a creamy brown maine coon strolled out of the apprentices' den with a yawn. At the sound of the warrior's voice, Dogpaw lifted his head. "I'm here." he mewed cheerfully.
"Olympics?" a curious voice rang out, belonging to a well-muscled maine coon that appeared out of the shadows. Ears pricked, the tall she-cat gazed at the nervous-looking apprentice, thoughtful. "Tell me more, Timpani." Northernstar murmured, eyes gleaming.
Scorpio watched the whole confrontation with Tigerpaw silently, amber eyes full of annoyance as he glowered at the tabby apprentice. He glanced at Slimkit. "I don't think Dad would appreciate us tattling on Tigerpaw. We should figure this out ourselves, like warriors." the blue tabby said decidedly.
The small kit tensed up, listening to the harsh conversation between the two cats. "This is scary." Checkerkit whispered, only wanting Mondaypaw to hear.
